These classes are for tight fitting half and full faced-air-purifying respirators.

All classes are held in the Environmental Health & Safety Center's Conference Room. Map to Building
Parking is available for Service Vehicles in the adjacent West parking deck. If you want to park a personal vehicle in the deck, a “C” or “W” permit is required. Other transportation alternatives are walking or taking a bus.

Currently, one class is scheduled each month for this type of respirator. New employees will be instructed on the brand and size of respirator to purchase.
Class Attendance Requirements:
1. Bring verification of medical clearance. If you need verification, please contact Martha Barrick at 513-0277 for a medical clearance statement.
2. Come clean shaven. All wearers of tight fitting masks must be clean shaven when being fit tested and when routinely wearing their masks. Otherwise the mask is subject to leaking.
3. Arrive to the classroom on time. The class will start on time. If you arrive late, you will likely miss this training opportunity for the month.
4. Bring your own respirator and cartridges (For those individuals who have been issued a mask.)
